New Equipment Upgrade

After 2 1/2 years of using the Canon XTi we finally upgraded. The XTi has been a great camera for us but we finally feel like we are ready to move up in equipment.

We upgraded to the Canon 50D. We aren’t quite ready (or good enough) to get something like the 5D Mk.II. Someday maybe, but not yet. The 50D is already proving very useful and we enjoy having it. We got to use it for a shoot for the first time last week as we did a wedding and reception. It handles low-light well and takes very crisp pictures. It will be an adjustment as it’s a bigger body and slightly heavier, but we are already seeing the results.

Official Announcement: We are now shooting weddings!

We have only shot one so far, but we have another this week, and possibly a couple more coming our way already, so we are opening our wedding photography to the public. Bailey Family

This was our first time doing a shoot for the Bailey family and it was a lot of fun. They actually introduced us to this location, which we have used twice since then! It’s like a photographer’s heaven. All sorts of fun colored walls, tall grass, old rusty trains and train tracks. Awesome.

K & G Engagements/Wedding

It’s about time we updated this blog! We had the opportunity to shoot our first ever WEDDING! It was a really good experience for us - definitely different than your normal portrait or family pictures. Before the wedding and reception we also did K & G’s engagements and bridals.
